Programs

Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA), working in partnership with 12 member municipalities and the watershed community and other valued partners, provide a number of programs that help to protect life and property from natural hazards like flooding and erosion, and to protect and enhance watershed resources.

The science-based programs of this local, rural conservation authority help to protect and enhance soil health and water quality; to help manage water quantity and water running off of land during storm events; to protect and enhance forest and wetland conditions; to protect and enhance habitat for all living things; and to educate tomorrow's stewards of watershed resources through conservation education for the young and young at heart.
