Get Involved – Introduction

Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) relies on partnerships to conserve watersheds and protect people and property from natural hazards of flooding and erosion.

A partnership of the Province of Ontario and local municipalities formed conservation authorities in 1946.

In addition, the federal government, agencies, organizations, landowners and community volunteers all have roles to play in protecting the watersheds today and for future generations.

Ausable Bayfield Conservation is always looking for new partnerships and volunteers.

There are several ways for you to get involved in conserving our local watersheds.

You can volunteer your time, do stewardship projects on your property, provide input to projects and policies and donate money and other assets.
