Notice – Rock Glen Conservation Area to be closed temporarily on September 22 and part of September 23

Date of Notice: September 17, 2026

Rock Glen Conservation Area (RGCA) in Arkona will be closed temporarily on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 and part of Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

The temporary closure is required as the power will be turned off in order to make it possible for arborists to complete tree trimming and tree removal near hydro lines.

The conservation area may be reopened as early as the afternoon of Wednesday, September 23 but please phone ahead to the RGCA gatehouse at 519-828-3071 (or Ausable Bayfield Conservation office toll-free at 1-888-286-2610), in order to confirm the conservation area is open, before travel to the site.
