Notice – Part of Morrison Line to be closed temporarily in June 2025

The Municipality of South Huron has advised that, starting on Monday, June 23, 2025, Morrison Line – between Highway 83 and Huron Street – will be closed temporarily.

This temporary road closure is taking place for scheduled maintenance on the vehicle bridge on Morrison Line.

The work begins on June 23 until further notice. (A re-opening is anticipated in October, 2025).

During the road closure, Morrison Line will be closed to thru-traffic on both lanes.

During the construction, people will not be able to access the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) Administration Centre office from the south.

During this closure, the parking lot for the ABCA office, and the South Huron Trail parking lot, near the Woodland Reflection Shelter, across from the ABCA office, will be accessible from the north (from Highway 83 to Morrison Line).

Access to Ironwood Golf Course and the ABCA parking lot south of Morrison Reservoir (Morrison Lake) will be available from Huron Street.

Trail users will still have access to the South Huron Trail. (There is a temporary bridge closure along the trail, in Morrison Dam Conservation Area, between the 5.0 and 5.2 kilometre trail markers, during enhancements to that bridge).
