Notice – Bridge over Ausable River closed starting June 23, 2025

A bridge along the South Huron Trail is closed temporarily, beginning on Monday, June 23, 2025, until further notice.

The bridge is located between the 5.0-kilometre and 5.2-km trail markers, in Morrison Dam Conservation Area (MDCA), east of Exeter.

The bridge over the Ausable River is closed until construction improvements are made to enhance the railing.

The South Huron Trail, on either side of the bridge, may still be enjoyed but the bridge itself will be closed (affecting that trail loop).
