Notice – Fishing closed temporarily from April 28-May 2, 2026

Date of Notice: Tuesday, April 21, 2026

Fishing, at Morrison Dam Conservation Area east of Exeter, is temporarily closed from Tuesday, April 28, 2026 until Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 8 a.m.

This closure is to help preserve the Rainbow Trout that are stocked for the Exeter Lions Club’s 40th Annual Trout Fishing Derby.

This temporary closure is meant to improve the angling experience for the young people who are participating in this longstanding community event.

The partners involved in this project wish to enhance the outdoor experience for participants, recognizing that positive outdoor experiences help to foster new generations of stewards of our soil, water and wildlife habitat.
