Daily Themes
W.I.L.D Nature Day Camp is a great place to explore and learn about the living natural world!
Each day, will we explore a new topic such as: species at risk; aquatic habitats; birds; trees; plants; and wildlife to help build our connection with local water, soil and habitat..
Drop-off and Pickup
Please park your vehicle in the parking lots identified in your entrance package which was emailed to you prior to camp and walk your youth to registration to sign them both in and out.
Drop-off is at 9 a.m. and pickup is at 4 p.m. unless pre-registered for before/after care.
On the first day, please ensure you meet with one of the camp staff to introduce your child and remind us of anything we should know about them.
Please sign your child in and out by initialing the printed copy of the Sign In/Out/Emergency Contact Sheet.
Schedule for WILD Adventures Day Camp with Ausable Bayfield Conservation
Wonder. Investigate. Learn. Discover.
This program will take place entirely outdoors in all weather. Shelter is available at Morrison Dam, Rock Glen, and Clinton conservation areas in cases of extreme weather events such as thunder and lightning.
It is important to note that if poor weather is pending (thunder and lightning) during the singular day camps, they will be cancelled (August 19-23), weekly camps have sufficient shelter and will continue as normal.
- Week 1 - July 8 - July 12 Ages 6-9 Morrison Dam Conservation Area
- Week 2 - July 15 - July 19 Ages 9-12 Morrison Dam Conservation Area
- Week 3 - July 29 - August 2 Ages 6-12 Morrison Dam Conservation Area
- Week 4 - August 12 - August 16 Ages 6-12 Rock Glen Conservation Area
- Day 1 - August 19 - Warner Nature Preserve (Grand Bend) Ages 6-12 *Theme: Harmonious Habitats
- Day 2 - August 20 - Clinton Conservation Area Ages 6-12 *Theme: Wonderful Water
- Day 3 - August 21 - Lucan Conservation Area Ages 6-12 *Theme: Amazing Adaptations
- Day 4 - August 22 - Bannockburn Conservation Area (Varna) Ages 6-12 *Theme: Into the Woods
- Day 5 - August 23 - Ausable River Cut Conservation Area (Port Franks) Ages 6-12 *Theme: Natural Curiosity
Program Time:
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ABOVE SCHEDULE REFLECTS SOME CHANGES IN AGES AND CAMP LOCATIONS.
Before and After Care is available for free.
This is available for 30 minutes before and after camp.
Before care is available from 8:30 am to 9:00 am
After care is available from 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm.
If a child is picked up after 4:30 PM there will be an extra $25.00 billed to the account on file.
Program Cost:
- $224.70 per child per week
- $44.94 per child per day
Ratios:
- Two instructors: 20 campers (maximum)
- One instructor: 10 students (minimum)
